Here's my application for the Creative Technologist role !
My name is Bernard, and I create captivating brand experiences through interactive & immersive installations.
In the past few years I have created experiences via my studio, Beast Collective, for these brands:
Originally from Malta, I moved to the UK in 2006 to complete my Masters in Digital Art at NUA, where I experimented blending physical and digital art - using softwares like MaxMSP and processing.
As a freelance digital creative director in London I've been lucky to work with some of the top ad and brand agencies; Wolff Olins, Ogilvy, Multi adaptor, BBH, Albion & Karmarama amongst others.
In 2012 I founded Beast Collective, a creative collective helping brands (mainly tech startups) tell stories.
More recently I've been going back to my NUA roots, working more on interactive and immersive installations, which is why an opportunity to be DixonBaxi's next Creative Technologist caught my eye!
Since last year, I've been shifting focus from motion design to interactive and immersive installations.
I've just finished a project for Disneyland Paris - an interactive video mapping project in a large hall of 100sqm as part of a long training program. Unfortunatley I can't show much of this project until end of 2024, however here are 3 other projects that I worked on last year (and while back for Fortnum & Mason.
For the 100 years celebration of Valrhona, we've come up with an installation concept to tell 3 different stories of 3 different projects the foundation has created.
An apprentice 'treasure' hunt using 3D printed figurines to talk about a pastry chef induction program for young people. All this for an event at the Sirha 2023 in Lyon, France.
For the launch of Fortnum & Mason's e-shop, we created a shop window installation made of 12 ipads.
